"Angel & Jinks"
Angel giving Jinks his daily sniff!
Our cats Jinks and Boots visit and get affection from our horses on almost a daily basis. Both sides seem to enjoy the moment!

"Durango & Boots"
Here Boots is getting his ear nuzzled by Durango. These two spend a great amount of time with each other. They are both still babies, so it is no wonder.

Sylvia getting ready to feed, while Angel poses. Cochise is behind her ready for the green stuff.

"Sugar for Dad"
Me getting a smooch on the cheek from Midnight to show his appreciation for the afternoon snack.

"More Sugar for Dad"
Angel started the kissing thing when she was just eight months old. She would do it to bribe me into giving her a few more pellets at her daily snack time. Now she does it as a greeting. Midnight learned from watching her, and Durango from watching them both. They all do it whenever I approach them. The first part of the kiss is to breathe into each others nostrils as this is how a horse says hello to a fellow herd member. Then comes the gentle peck on the cheek to finish off the encounter. Though some people would be put off by this type of greeting from a pet... I take it as a sign of great trust and affection, and do it whenever
they initiate it.
